Snake

Observe
It's rough dry
Scaled skin
Laying
Sintered
Yellow
Brown
Heavy coiled
To form
A pyramid
Upon the ground
From where
Two chilling eyes
Of Death
A diamond pair
In pleasure glare
While flickering thin
Black tongue
Tastes air

As tension builds
In arche'd spine
A lightning strike
Delivered in
The moment
Just before
The time
That ivory
Hypodermics
Pumping twins
Sink deeply
Into furry skin
Sending venom
Mixed with pain
To blend
With blood
Through slender vein
The heart to slow
Two poisoned arrows
From Death's bow

For snakes
They too
Must eat
You know

SNAKE II

Snakes can move quite fast you know
But they do not like the snow
