Pebbles Tidal

Tumbled
Churned
Arrayed
Displayed
Laid out
To glisten
On parade
To rest
A quest
That is denied
Sucked back
To grind
Each other
Down
Grated
Dragged
Then rolled
Around
Twice daily
They broadcast
Their sound
By movements
Of
Earth’s Oceans

Round
Hollowed
Contoured
Cream and brown
Pebbles tidal
Duly sorted
Mottled
Coloured
Wet then salted
On the shore
Laid out
-
Exhausted

How wonderful!

I can hear the rocks being rolled back and forth over and over again.
Poor little exhausted rocks....

I interfered with a few of them becoming grains of sand, dontchaknow.
I hope they're happy in my little beach bowl.

Thanks Mel - Despite all our "beach bowls" I'm sure there are plenty left

beautiful!

I'm walking on the beach at Polzeath, having my toes sucked into all this churning. . . I'm sitting, sorting thru handful after handful of pebbles. . . I'm lying on my front, looking at them - all the different myriad colours, the shapes, the sizes. . .

why do they never glisten when you get them home tho?

They're like us - they are happier when they are amongst friends..

*tap tap tap*

Mine glisten in the bottle filled with water.
I love my sea rocks and they shine for me in their safe little place.

Wow.

PRETTIES!!!

I've moved some to my fountain so they're shining and happy.

And they DO look happy.
